Chinese Tuxedo

Named after Chinatown’s inaugural upscale dining establishment, Chinese Tuxedo presents a menu curated by international executive chef Paul Donnelly, offering a reinterpretation of traditional Chinese banquet dishes. Complementing the cuisine are innovative cocktails, a diverse wine selection, and an array of Chinese and American craft beers. The establishment occupies a two-story space formerly housing New York City's pioneering Chinese theater, also recognized as the Chinese Opera House. In its prime, this venue served as a pivotal hub for community gatherings. Jeff Lam and Eddy Buckingham, the proprietors, meticulously restored the locale, preserving its historical essence such as the original pillars and exposed walls, while infusing it with mid-century elements and contemporary artworks. Today, Chinese Tuxedo revitalizes this historic social nexus into a contemporary Chinese dining destination.
