1. The basement bar for the audiophiles: The Starman
Mayfair, London
The Starman's basement bar is the London party venue for music lovers, not just the ones who love to listen to music and have a little boogie but who appreciate a classic like David Bowie. The Starman takes its name from David Bowie's iconic Ziggy Stardust album cover that was photographed on Heddon Street – the same street as the bar.
The basement bar can accommodate 120 guests standing and is available for private hire year-round and we can think of few places better suited to a big birthday bash. Serving the finest beer, artisanal spirits, cocktails and a range of wines and non-alcoholic drinks, everybody will be catered for. The Starman has the tunes and it has the drinks, you just bring the moves.
Spacious, modern, and stylish with in-house artwork that pays tribute to the Starman himself, good atmosphere and good drinks – a great birthday party venue with a touch of music history.
