1. The hotel conference venue with London's largest auditorium: Shaw Theatre

London

The Shaw Theatre at Pullman London St. Pancras is the city’s largest tiered auditorium attached to a hotel. With a capacity to seat 446 people, the theatre often hosts musicals, comedies and live music. It’s an ideal venue for a big product launch or conference.

The well-lit theatre has comfortable seating that is equipped with folding writing tablets. Also available are whiteboards, a TV/projector and breakout spaces.

The theatre can be privately hired and as the hotel’s name suggests, it's just a short walk from the King’s Cross St. Pancras tube station.

2. The hotel conference venue literally in the heart of London: The Ballroom, 8 Northumberland

London

It’s hard to be more centrally located in London than 8 Northumberland which is just a minute’s walk from Trafalgar Square.

The hotel was an integral part of Victorian London and has recently been restored to its former glory after undergoing extensive refurbishment. The hotel’s centrepiece, The Ballroom can accommodate as many as 700 people and seat 500. Facilities like TV, projector, whiteboards, and audio equipment are also available at the venue.

So if you’re looking for a grand venue, with a rich history in central London, then The Ballroom at 8 Northumberland might just be the right choice for your conference.

3. An elegant conference venue at a historic hotel: Carrington & Grant, Kimpton Fitzroy London

London

At the historic Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel, you’ll find the Carrington & Grant conference rooms.

The rooms have an elegant and traditional aesthetic, plenty of natural light, and fit around 80-90 guests (the space can always be divided into two separate rooms if needed) alongside whiteboards, a projector and audio equipment.

Russell Square Station is right next to the hotel and the venue is a safe bet for your next small-mid sized event in central London.

4. A unique, court-like conference venue at a restored London hotel: Council Chamber, Town Hall Hotel

London

The restored Council Chamber at the Town Hall Hotel offers a slightly different conference experience. With its art-deco style, raised seating, large windows, walnut panelling and bespoke furniture, it certainly feels like you’re in a courtroom.

Located in London’s vibrant East End and available for private hire, this unique venue is a nice to change from the conventional conference rooms.

The room can host 110 people and is just a 4-minute walk from the Bethnal Green tube station.

5. A luxe hotel conference venue in London: The Ballroom, Bulgari Hotel

London

For a conference room that feels a little more luxe, head to Knightsbridge's Bulgari Hotel. Boasting many impressive spaces, The Ballroom is definitely the standout.

Dedicated to Giorgio and Costantino Bulgari, the room features handcrafted solid silver chandeliers (designed by Padgham and Putland Silversmiths), breakout spaces, and your usual TV and projector.

The venue can seat 140 people and twice that number if the crowd is standing. It also helps to know that Knightsbridge tube station is just next door.

6. A historic hotel conference venue: Empire Room, The Landmark London

London

Conveniently, The Landmark London sits next to Marylebone Station. Originally built as a railway hotel in 1899, closing before reopening in 1993, this historic hotel offers up spaces to host your next conference.

The hotel’s Empire Room is a great choice for traditional conferences. As the name implies, the room is large and impressive with high ceilings, floor-length windows, grand curtains and a striking chandelier. The room can host as many as 220 guests and is available for private hire.

7. A regal hotel conference venue: Nine Kings Suite, Royal Lancaster London

London

With elegant chandeliers and room to host 1200 people, The Nine Kings Suite at the Royal Lancaster London could very well host a banquet for a king (or nine kings in this case).

Regarded as one of Europe’s top venues for product launches and conferences, this pillarless room can be divided into separate areas so organising breakout rooms is as easy here as it is on Zoom.

Find them next to Lancaster Gate station.

8. An opulent London hotel conference venue: The Crystal Room, The May Fair Hotel

London

A specially-commissioned Baccarat chandelier, a bronze lacquered feature wall studded with leaves, an exclusive entrance and a private bar, are just a few of the highlights of the Crystal Room at The May Fair Hotel.

This room offers a luxe backdrop to your next conference and it goes without saying that a TV, projector, whiteboards and audio equipment are all available at the venue.

The Crystal Room has room to host up to 370 guests and both Berkeley Square and Old Park Lane stations are just 3 mins away, so getting to the conference should be almost as comfortable as your experience at the event.

9. The hotel conference venue near Heathrow: Commonwealth Suite, Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel & Conference Centre, London

London

If you’ll have a lot of people flying into Heathrow Airport for your conference, the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel & Conference Centre is a smart and convenient solution.

Located right next to the airport and also within walking distance of the West End Lane tube station, your guests won’t have to waste time worrying about their travel.

The hotel’s Commonwealth Suite, which fits up to 700 people, is a sprawling ballroom with shining wooden panelled walls, red carpets and curtains to match. The room is available for private hire and as an added bonus, can also be separated into two separate rooms.

10. The London hotel conference venue that has an attached courtyard: Galleon A, The Royal National Hotel

London

No matter how inspiring a conference is, there comes a time when every attendee feels the need to take a break, stretch their legs and get a breath of fresh air. The Royal National Hotel’s Galleon A offers a great solution to this age-old conference problem.

Located on the hotel’s ground floor, Galleon A also has direct access to a courtyard. The conference room itself is pretty functional – It has room to host up to 270 people and comes with your usual TV, projector and audio equipment.

As The Royal National Hotel is very well connected, it’s just minutes away from Russell Square Tube Station, Kings Cross, Euston and Holborn.

How to hire a hotel conference room in London

We know that finding a venue the old-fashioned way (where you trawl the internet, contact 10 venues or set your heart on one, only to find that they're out of your price range and not even available on your dates) is a pain, and there are a few pitfalls between you and book your perfect conference room. Getting the venue-finding process down to professional art is what we’ve made our mission ever since we took on the events industry. We often get asked the same questions, so here's what we recommend to quickly and easily hire a space in London.

Frequently asked questions

For hotel conference rooms in London, you're spoilt for choice. Here are a few extra special ones that we vouch for:

Garden Suite, Grange Whitehall Hotel – Located in central London, close to the British Museum and Russel Square, is this memorable boutique property. The Garden suite in Whitehall Hotel has plenty of character with features including a unique garden restaurant, with a terrace and conservatory looking onto beautifully maintained lawns. Manhattan Suite, Crowne Plaza London Docklands – This venue is designed and built with the needs of the modern conference organiser and delegate in mind. The Crowne Plaza has well-equipped meeting rooms with state-of-the-art equipment such as ISDN lines and WiFi, whiteboards, working walls HDTV screens and conference stationery.

There really is no one answer to this question: so many variables come into play when understanding the cost of exclusive hire of a hotel conference venue. How many guests are you planning for? Is the venue for the day, an afternoon, or evening? The good news is that you can find a venue for pretty much any budget (okay, almost any budget). Instead of letting the venue dictate the price, our advice is to be proactive and set a budget that you feel comfortable with – this way the right venues can reach out to you through HeadBox.

There are lots of ways to book a London hotel conference room. You can do the old-fashioned thing and pick up the phone, or email the venue directly. Unfortunately, lots of venues are busy and may not get back to you in time. That's where we come in. Give us your enquiry and we'll reach out to the best hotel conference rooms in London and let you enjoy your free time. Easy.
