A unique space available to hire in London, the Islington Metal Works is nestled just behind Angel station. Built in the late 19th Century, this creative space is steeped in history.
All three floors were initially used to stable the horses that pulled the trams for London Transport, before it was converted into a metal works in 1925, an element of the business that is still run successfully today. Much of the building has now been restored, creating a number of inspiring spaces. The space is frequently used for a variety of functions, including as a private party venue, a film and photography location or for hosting weddings, club nights, gigs, exhibitions and fashion shows.
The venue is fully licensed and has three bars on the ground floor. The Courtyard houses the famous tube carriage cocktail bar, and there are bars in both the restaurant and club area. These spaces can be used independently, or in conjunction with each other, to service up to 500 people. A well-equipped kitchen is also on site. The restaurant can be furnished for 120 covers and a stylish indoor barbecue area is also available.
The Club has a Turbosound Highlite system installed, which is suitable for both live acts and DJs. The venue keeps modular staging in-house for live performances, which can also be configured as a catwalk for fashion shows. The experienced operations team have the ability to provide event support at any level.
