Sites don't come much more impressive than the Grade-II listed Piazza Italiana on historic Threadneedle Street in the City of London. This majestic building was one the British Linen Bank, but today it provides a grand setting for some classic Italian cooking, courtesy of Sicilian chef Remo Mazzucato. Mazzucato and team have assembled a menu that shines a light on great dishes from all over Italy, focusing on authenticity and seasonal ingredients. Expect a menu that covers arancini, burrata and Italian antipasti, as well as classic pasta dishes, meat and fish dishes, sharing platters and cicchetti.
Piazza Italiana also has a private dining room on the mezzanine, which will comfortably seat 14 guests. Wood-panelled and low-lit, the Mezzanine private dining room has an intimate feel, but also works well for more formal corporate dinners and meetings.
