The Wendy House is a self-contained venue located in the Bedford Hotel's private secluded garden which is fully accessible. With chic interiors and furnishings inspired by the hotel’s beautiful garden, the purpose-built space was designed with the aim of bringing elements of the outdoors indoors. All the while, maximising the views out on to the garden with its ornamental water features.

Ceiling to floor glass doors slide back opening the space out onto the landscaped terrace, providing the flexibility to extend your event into the open and entertain guests in our fabulous garden.

This creates the perfect dual setting for special occasions such as a small intimate wedding reception, summer parties, barbeques, workshops or bespoke private dining for up to 35 people.

Equally, the Wendy House can also be set up in a classic boardroom style for up to 24 delegates, for a conference style meeting, training sessions or the like. The room features a 50-inch TV screen, interactive whiteboard, and an abundance of natural light.

Refreshments, sandwich lunches and extensive banqueting packages are also available to add onto the room hire, at an additional cost.

The Wendy House

The Bedford Hotel

This impeccably furnished meeting room is located on the first floor of the Bedford Hotel and has the capability to hold boardroom style meetings or private sit-down dinners for up to 16 people.

With 24.5 square metres of bright, airy space, the Acer Room was named after the beautiful Acer tree planted in the hotel’s garden. The room features neutral décor with just a pop of colour plus plenty of natural light and leafy views via room length windows.

The venue is equipped with a 42-inch mounted plasma screen, self-contained rest room, cloakroom, and integral high speed wi-fi. Our in-house AV team are on hand to provide you with fully integrated additional equipment hire packages, as are the in-house kitchen and catering teams.

We have a range of fully customisable and bespoke food packages from canapes to bowl food and sit-down lunches, all available at competitive prices.

Situated within the North entrance of the hotel, direct access to the venue is via the hotel’s central courtyard making it an ideal location for meetings, gala dinners, exhibitions & team activities. The hotel also has secure underground parking, an extensive offering of drinking and dining facilities and over 1630 rooms including our popular City Sleeper rooms, should your guests or delegates need a convenient and comfortable room for the night.
