With high ceilings, exposed brick walls, a fully-stocked bar, custom lighting and a state-of-the-art sound system, this is certainly one of the city’s cooler basement venues.

Situated on the lower ground of The London EDITION, the Berners Street venue offers an ideal backdrop for a screening with up to 60 seated guests (or 220 standing).

While it’s just outside Soho’s confines, it’s a few minutes walk away from Tottenham Court Station – meaning your next big screen event is within reach.

Located on Shaftesbury Avenue is Curzon’s Soho branch. Choose from one of their three screens – the largest, hosts up to 250 guests and comes with its own stage while the other two (72 and 81 guests respectively) are ideal for smaller events.

We’d say a reliably good choice for film screenings and quarterly kick-offs alike. Plus, there’s a bar and cafe because what’s a quarterly kick-off or private screening, without a few snacks?

As per the name, this Soho venue offers guests 24, 41, and 44-seat screening rooms across its two floors as well as a reception area. The long-standing independent venue Soho Screening Rooms has been host to the film industry’s finest.

Thanks to the venue owner, who has experience as a director, producer and editor, everything from first cuts, final products, award-winners to film festival entries and corporate presentations have found their way onto a screen.

Nestled on Soho’s iconic Dean Street is The Groucho Club, a private members’ club, home to some of the city’s (and country’s) brightest creatives. Named after Tony Mackintosh (the founder of The Groucho Club), the Mackintosh Room is a bright, airy and spacious room that seats 14 and hosts up to 20 standing guests.

While its primary function is as a modern private dining room, the availability of a projector means that this space is worth a mention as a screening room.

Inside the stylish Ham Yard Hotel you’ll find their aptly-named Ham Yard Theatre. Like most of their spaces, the 190-seat room is a lesson in colour-blocking with orange chairs, blue walls and pink stage curtains.

Featuring balcony seating, adjacent green rooms and their exclusive Dive Bar, Ham Yard Theatre room has everything needed for a successful screening, whether that’s a company presentation or film preview. The drinks are ready and the stage is set, now to finalise that guest list.

Private screenings aren’t complete without a seat with a great view and your choice of popcorn. Offering both is Club 16, the private members’ club in Soho for creative types in the city.

While the exclusive Carlisle Street space boasts meeting rooms, production offices, common rooms and a bar, the spotlight is on their screening room.

Fittingly named The Cinema Screening Room, expect comfy seats for up to 22 guests, side tables as well as access to a fully-licensed bar. Plus, this Soho screening room is available seven days a week.
