The Alfred Tennyson is a great all-rounder bar situated in the heart of Knightsbridge. It's part up-market local, part restaurant, serving oysters and hand-pulled ales – which, believe us, is a match made in heaven.

This being Knightsbridge, the bar's interiors are classy, with light flooding the bar area. It's tempting to spend the whole day – so long as you've got the cash.

On the border of Knightsbridge and Belgravia you’ll find a little piece of the Mediterranean: Mina’s restaurant and cocktail bar.

We like Mina’s for the audacity to offer an Aperitivo Hour on weekdays alongside their already top-notch dishes. There’s something about slicing into burrata whilst dining al fresco that makes you forget you’re in London.

When the weather turns dreary, Mina’s still manages to make you forget you’re in the capital with its terracota-coloured walls and lush green plants hanging from skylights. Between this relaxed atmosphere, the wines, cocktails, and Apertivo Hour, Mina’s will quickly become a favourite.

After your routine shopping spree at Harrods, walk across the street and check out the Capital Bar found within the Capital Hotel. They have almost every drink imaginable from signature cocktails to whiskey, tequila, and mezcal – the bar even hosts a mezcal masterclass (sign us up).

It’s the kind of swish Knightsbridge bar where you sip Laurent-Perrier and gossip over oysters. We like the wavy metallic bar with its oil-slick opalescence and mood lighting. In short, it’s a snug little cocktail bar for when you’re feeling your fanciest.

Instead of going to four different places for a night out, try the Beauchamp. This Knightsbridge bar is a quadruple threat with four floors — bar/club on the lower ground floor, the pub on the ground floor, first floor restaurant, and second floor lounge.

The Beauchamp’s menu – a combination of both British and European dishes – is served all day, and the club/pub offers bottle service – trust a pub in Knightsbridge to offer such a thing. Lastly, you can check out live DJ sets from Thursday to Saturday. Food, drinks, tunes, four floors – jokes aside, it’s a top pick for private hire for just those reasons.

Inspired by New York City’s North of Little Italy area, Nolita Social is a cocktail bar just steps away from Knightsbridge station, and can be found beneath the Sette restaurant in the Bvlgari Hotel London.

Their signature cocktails are all inspired by aspects of London’s transatlantic cousin. The Mango Marg, made with tequila, mango, lime, cointreau and agave nectar, is inspired by popular street food in the “Big Apple”— cubes of mango seasoned with tajin.

Along with the flavours of NYC, Nolita Social has a variety of quick bites and live DJs on the weekend playing throwback music from the ‘60s, ‘70s and the ‘90s. The Knightsbridge bar is also available for private hire seven days a week – a sweet little spot for a shindig.

For a classic British pub experience in Knightsbridge, look no further. The Bunch of Grapes, an almost 400-year-old establishment, is hard to miss: it has quaint baskets of hanging flowers on the outside. The best bit? The pub still contains most of its original woodwork, decorative glass divisions and fine-painted mirrors.
