Situated in the creative hub of Leith, Custom Lane is a collaborative workspace with a dedicated studio event space. The venue is easily accessible via public transport from the city centre. The space can accommodate 60 for a seated even or 80 for a standing event or exhibition.

The studio event space at Custom Lane offers a modern, minimalist aesthetic with white walls, natural light, and an adaptable layout. It is ideal for pop-up events, photography sessions, and workshops. The space can be privately hired, with additional services such as seating arrangements and AV equipment available upon request.

Southside Garage is a converted industrial space in the heart of Newington, just a short walk from The Meadows. The Edinburgh studio is well connected to public transport, with several bus routes serving the area.

With exposed brick walls, concrete flooring, and high ceilings, Southside Garage has the classic industrial, blank canvas photography studio feel and can also be blacked out for shoots. The open-plan space can accommodate shoots, exhibitions, workshops, and small events. Private hire options include bespoke setups for creative projects, with lighting and display equipment available on request.

Flash lights for photography: 2 x 300 Watt Elinchrom, 2 x 500 Watt Bowens, 2 x 400 Watt Bowen. Also available are various types of modifiers.

Dancebase is Scotland’s National Centre for Dance, located in the lively Grassmarket area. The venue is a short walk from several bus stops and easily accessible from Waverley Station.

Studio 2, with a capacity of 55, is one of Dancebase’s multi-use spaces, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, mirrored walls, and a professional dance floor. The studio is primarily designed for rehearsals and performances but is also available for private hire, making it a suitable option for movement-based workshops and creative gatherings.

It can be hired for private use, with flexible booking options available for both one-off and recurring events.

Little Plaza is a multi-purpose venue on Easter Road, a short distance from Leith Walk’s transport connections. The studio space at Little Plaza is a flexible little studio with high ceilings, a neutral colour scheme, and an ideal blank canvas event space. With a capacity of 22 both seated and standing, it is well-suited for creative projects, intimate performances, and workshop events. The venue offers private hire options, with additional facilities such as lighting and sound equipment available.
