Encompassing nearly an entire city block in the centre of Hobart, In The Hanging Garden is a live music and cultural precinct where they can cater to a number of bespoke functions and bookings within their dynamic spaces.

This beautiful upper-tier garden deck area is accessed via Murray Street. This space is open to the public Wednesday–Sunday and is only available for private hire on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Altar Bar is a multi-purpose venue within the precinct, complete with three distinctly different bars, a bandroom, pool room and lots of quiet spots to kick back and relax including partially-covered rooftop patio.

In The Hanging Garden, Altar Bar

Billy's Burger and Bar is located in Hobart's Elizabeth Pier.  Their Indoor Space can hold up to 60 guests. With a full view of the stunning waterfront, any function or event you hold at Billy's will be a memorable one. 

The furniture can be adjusted for all seated or a mix of standing and seated. They can also be adjusted to make space for dancing. Live music can also be arranged at this venue. Guests will have access to food, lighting, music and a bar. Extra outdoor space is available should the weather permit.

Billy's Burgers and Bar, Indoor Space

Anchored to the waterfront precinct and embraced by scenic Kunanyi/Mount Wellington, The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart sits comfortably between Hobart’s CBD, picturesque Derwent Harbour, a MONA Ferry terminal and the iconic Salamanca and Battery Point neighborhoods.

Located next to The Boardroom, invite your guests to relax in a comfortable and intimate lounge space, whilst enjoying ample natural daylight along with access to an outdoor terrace in The Parlour. The existing style of set up is a lounge area, but this room can be rearranged to suit various event types. This space can accommodate up to 20 guests.

Tavern 42 Degrees South (T42) has been on the waterfront since 1997 and is a newly renovated iconic venue in arguably Hobart’s best location. This venue boasts a double waterfront in a heritage building and can cater for end of year functions, parties and private dining in their Dining Spaces or Function Lounge.

The Function Lounge resides inside T42 and looks out to the northern side of their double waterfront venue. 

This Function space has a mix of casual, comfortable seating and standing room. It can accommodate up to 80 guests. The Function Lounge has direct access to an adjacent outdoor area which can be opened up depending on the weather. Guests can have access to the 42's well-stocked bar, regular live music and a dance floor. Furniture can be adjusted to suit.

The 18-metre tall structure on the lower tier with a new summer garden fit-out that can be accessed via Liverpool Street or the Garden. 

The Cathedral best suits cocktail-style events, however, this space can also be booked for theatre-style and banquet-style private events.

Tavern 42 Degrees South (T42) has been on the waterfront since 1997 and is a newly renovated iconic venue in arguably Hobart’s best location. This venue boasts a double waterfront in a heritage building and can cater for end of year functions, parties and private dining in their Dining Spaces or Function Lounge. 

Their Head Chef, Angga Ovidi hails from Sokyo at The Star in Sydney where he spent years paying homage to the traditions of Japanese cooking and techniques, whilst utilising the best Australian ingredients. Their general manager Alex Watson has been in the industry for over a decade opening restaurants in London, Melbourne and in Hobart. Having worked for industry icons like Nobu, Langham Hotel Group and Gordon Ramsay, Alex's attention to detail and understanding of venues help their team deliver a memorable experience to all of their guests.

The  restaurant features double-sided water views and modern seating incorporating some banquet-style within a refurbished space. The semi-private Dining Spaces are available for groups of 2 to 110 for sit down meals. They offer à-la-carte, set menus and Chef's choice (6 courses). The menu lends itself to share plate style dining utilising the best in local produce and seafood.
