The Room is named after Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Virswami FBA who was a prominent Indian philosopher and statesman. He was one of India’s most acclaimed scholars of comparative religion and philosophy and served as President from 1962-67 and was elected as an honorary fellow in 1962.
