Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and embellished by Robert Adam, the State Apartments offer an exquisite experience for guests. During their time in the State Apartments, guests are surrounded by paintings by the school of Van Dyck, Kneller and Lely as well as important carvings and mouldings by William Emmett, John Grove and William Cleere.

The State Apartments are an elegant environment for a drinks reception or private dinner. Consisting of two rooms, the Council Chamber and the Ante Room, the Apartments have hosted Monarchs and other notable figures since the 1700’s.

The impressive double height Council Chamber is perfect for more intimate dinners and receptions as well as civil ceremonies.

The State Apartments are available for hire both in the evening and daytime. Hire includes the use of the stunning Figure Court, the perfect space for an outdoor drinks reception. The rooms of the State Apartments create a truly impressive backdrop to your event.

All venue hire is dry hire only - catering is an additional charge.
