Downstairs at Ziggy Green, you’ll find Colony Room Green, a tribute to the notorious Colony Room Club—once dubbed one of the "seediest spots in Britain" and the Bohemian heart of Soho. From 1948 to 2008, this small members club attracted the era’s most celebrated artists and eccentrics, including founder Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud.
Curated by Darren Coffield—former club member, artist, and author of Tales from the Colony Room—the space meticulously recreates the legendary Soho drinking den. This immersive art installation in the basement of Ziggy Green brings the spirit of the bohemian elite back to life.
With phones banned and a membership rule of “don’t be boring,” step into the past as you descend the stairs. Enjoy beer, house wine priced as it was in 2008, or an Espresso Martini—created by Dick Bradsell for Kate Moss—while soaking in the iconic green hues and vibrant atmosphere of Colony Room Green.
