New Century

Our Hall is an exquisitely restored open-plan events hall for events, gigs, exhibitions (you name it!) for up to 1,300 people.

We have ensured that the renovation of the Hall has allowed it to keep a number of its original mid-century features including a sprung maple dancefloor and wooden panelling. Our Hall has a restored ‘disco ceiling’ & lighting installation which creates a responsive/immersive environment for all moods.

The building is shared with our New Century Kitchen, which brings the best of Manchester’s food and drink scene situated in the NOMA district, our vendors will cater to your foodie preferences!

New Century was originally a dancehall in the 1960s, hosting acts including The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Tina Turner & The Beegees. It was adopted in the 1980s by the Manchester ‘Madchester’ scene - & New Century fostered such local talent as The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays.

The venue has a flexible layout that can cater for all your Private Hire & Event needs, we have a state-of-the-art sound system, production and lighting facilities.
