Gouqi, Fine Dining Chinese Restaurant marks Chef Tong's return to the London restaurant scene following his departure from international restaurant group Hakkasan in 2019, after an 18‐year tenure as group executive head chef. Under his leadership, Hakkasan Group became a global leader in contemporary Chinese cuisine, with Hakkasan, Yauatcha, and HKK all winning Michelin stars.
The name Gouqi, originated as a play on the goji berry, a symbol of health and vitality that inspires the ethos of the restaurant. Using premium live produce, seasonal ingredients to offer a range of flavours, techniques, ingredients and dishes drawn from across China are reflected in our menus.
Gouqi has two interconnecting private dining rooms; Crimson & Ruby, which seat 12 and 10, and combine to accommodate up to 22 guests. For standing events, the rooms can accommodate 15 in each room or up to 45 guests combined.
We can also cater for exclusive venue hires of up to 100 guests, or host events in our Berri Bar of up to 25 guests. Please enquire directly with the team.
For private dining, the minimum spend from Sunday to Thursday is £1,200 per room, Friday and Saturday is £1,500 per room, however prices may be flexible depending on the date, time and duration of the booking.
A deposit of 50% of the minimum spend is required (via a secured payment link), and we have a cancellation policy of 72 hours - 1 week depending on the date.
We recommend to pre-order any food or drinks in advance, and inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements. For seated dining, we recommend either our 8-course Tasting Menu, 3-course Signature Sharing Menu adding on the Legendary Peking Duck, or we can create set menus based on a la carte preferences. For standing events we can offer a bespoke drinks reception, canapé/bowl food menu, which will be bite sized versions of our a la carte dishes (Dim Sum, Peking Duck, Salt and Pepper Squid, Black Pepper Beef, bowl food etc).
An ideal space for business meetings in the heart of Trafalgar Square, the Crimson room is fitted with a 4K Ultra HD Smart 65 inch TV, and 4K video conference camera with a wide angle lens and 120° field of view. 5x ePTZ support and a large 8MP sensor provides exceptional detail. The web camera comes with brightness automatically optimised technology which can be used in low light conditions effectively, and a system built-in 8 Microphones Array, Full-duplex, noise cancelling and suppress background sound, so everyone in the conversation can be heard clearly. It also has a 5W speaker for high-fidelity audio. With the outstanding AI Face Enhancement function, the teleconference camera will autofocus in meeting participants, all people of the meeting will automatically be in the view.
