Welcome to our first site in London, the original: Elephant and Castle. We opened our doors in 2016 and we are proudly London’s First Sustainable Community Market. Housed in a formerly abandoned paper factory site, we have built and developed one of the city’s largest undercover outdoor areas showcasing a vibrant space where everyone, of any age, can come together and enjoy authentic food together. With over 40 independent trading partners, we are pleased to serve an eclectic array of natural, nutritious, accessible food and drink alongside an on-site micro-brewery, hidden music theatre and various community events and projects.

MM’s values of community, quality and social responsibility are maintained throughout every touchpoint of the site; from the recycled materials to the no-frills layout. It’s entirely based on a sustainable economic model that is socially responsible and an asset to the local community.

With its authentic environment, MM brings out the natural beauty of its industrial buildings and creates inviting spaces for the community. Our trading partners use only the very best ingredients, always keeping their passion and artisan values at heart.
