For corporate events, The Telford Theatre at One Great George Street has a flawless fit for you
The Telford Theatre, on the first floor of this Westminster venue, is a fabulous purpose-built conference and lecture Space.
This Space features fixed racked seating able to accommodate up to 240 Guests. Whatever the scale of your event, this Space has the room to accommodate your every requirement.
At the front is an ornate stage of dark wood panels which also surround the room.
The stage has a speaker’s lectern to one side and a top table for up to seven people. The lectern and top table each have in-built monitors and microphones.
There is a domed roof containing glass believed to have been salvaged from the Institution’s former building (pre-1900). This dome, as well as being a striking feature, also creates a feeling of Space and light in the room.
The cornices are embellished with carved plaster where the names of many eminent Engineers are featured.
Situated next to the Great Hall, the Telford Theatre is ideal for large conferences, presentations, lectures seminars, product launches, press conferences, AGMs and screenings. The room is also near the Council, Rennie and Palmer rooms which are ideal spaces for break-out or catering rooms.
The lecture theatre is named after Thomas Telford who many consider to be the father of engineering and was the Institution of Civil Engineer’s first president.
For a Space rich in history and beautiful in decor, The Telford Theatre at One Great George Street is the event Space for you.
