1. A beautiful function room in London's financial district: City University Club
Fenchurch Street, London
History, elegance and hungry students collide in this beautiful function room just off Fenchurch Street.
Originally established in 1895 by Oxbridge graduates who wanted a lunch club in the capital, The City University Club has seen ambassadors and a slew of famous faces during its 100-odd-year tenure in central London.
The interior is grand without losing good taste; the handsome townhouse retains its sash windows which bring plenty of light into the comfortable function room. The whole building has capacity for 100 people, and it's an ideal space to relax, discuss and, of course, have lunch.
