Designed to facilitate networking and socializing, the area provides ample open space and exclusive access to a private bar for drinks service. With a mounted 55" Smart TV, guests can enjoy live sports events or share content on the screen. The Back Bar comfortably accommodates up to 70 guests in a cocktail-style setup, making it an ideal spot for gatherings.

In 2019 ‘The Scholar’ was redeveloped, refurbished and re-imagined as a bar and eatery, situated in the heart of the recently transformed RMIT City campus.

With the recent creation of a new bar, dining and event spaces, The Scholar offers a relaxed, comfortable and lively experience for its patrons. The Scholar features a wide selection of both local and international craft beer, while their menu selections are built upon locally sourced and fresh produce, offering innovative, seasonal dishes and pub classics.

Designed with inherent flexibility in mind, and boasting significant increases in capacity, a multitude of functions are able to be staged with the assistance of experienced, attentive and dedicated event staff.

The Atrium is situated in the back corner of the pub - roped off exclusively for your event. Versatile and well equipped function space with warm yet industrial decor. State of the art AV equipment and wireless mic's for speech requirements are available. Smart TVs allow screen-share and accept flash drives to display content during event. Furniture is moveable to suit your event style.

It can be roped off for private gatherings, with the option to remove tables to create space for a cocktail function. Nearby booth seating offers additional accommodation for larger events. The entire space can host up to 100 guests, making it suitable for various functions. With direct access to the main bar and a 55" Smart TV, the Front Bar is perfect for screen-sharing or enjoying important sports events. Experienced, attentive, and dedicated event staff are on hand to ensure a seamless experience.

Exclusive hire of the venue can accommodate up to 300 people, and includes the use of wireless microphones, three 55" screens, an amphitheater stage, and a pool table for added entertainment options.
