There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a new venue opening; and there’s been plenty to keep us excited in the last 12 months. From chic refurbishes breathing new life into old favourites to completely new establishments ready to explore, there’s something to match any event brief. 

And while it’s hard to choose, we’ve taken the liberty of rounding up our favourite venue openings to keep you inspired. 

Ballers Clubhouse Adelaide 

Rundle St, Adelaide

Capacity: 400 Exclusive Hire

Melbourne’s iconic entertainment centre has just touched down in Adelaide, armed with plenty of activities to keep spirits high. Think darts lanes, neoshuffle tables, ping pong and pool, alongside two bars and an array of unique spaces. Perfect for team activities, you can hire spaces like The Library or The Clubhouse for more intimate celebrations, or hire the entire venue exclusively for up to 400 guests. RAFI URBNSURF

Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney 

Capacity: 300 Exclusive Hire

The opening of URBNSURF’s second location in Sydney’s Olympic Park has been much anticipated. Partnering with Applejack Hospitality, the venue feels like a premium surf resort, with premium dining options to match. RAFI is perched on the upper level, ensuring those all-important views of the surf. For seafood lovers, the menu is a feast for the senses inspired by Sydney’s coasts, honouring fresh seasonal produce. Take your pick from the variety of spaces on offer, from the light-filled Surf Suite to the summery Terrace offering panoramic views of the park. Or, you can do exclusive hire for up to 300 guests cocktail for an event that’s sure to impress. 

Sunsets Rooftop 

Kangaroo Point, Brisbane

Located sky high above Linton Street at Kangaroo Point, Sunsets Rooftop is a stylish desert oasis. You’ll be treated to some of Brisbane’s best city skyline views, alongside palm fronds and gorgeous wooden detailing sure to make even a Winters day feel like a Summer soirée. It’s easy to imagine reclining on one of the many lounges with a cocktail of choice in hand, paired with one of the many share plates on offer. 

Casa Chino 

Brunswick, Melbourne 

Capacity: 90 Seated Exclusive Hire

The latest offering from Talisman Group, Casa Chino is a vibrant marrying of Chinese and Latin American cuisine, situated in the hotspot of Brunswick’s Sydney Road. Terracotta finishes and plush booths provide the perfect backdrop to an impressively innovative menu, combining classic East Asian ingredients with Peruvian flavours designed to take your tastebuds on a journey. Cocktails are a specialty at Casa Chino, with a selection of Pisco sours celebrating the Peruvian spirit. Wine-lovers need not worry, with an equally impressive collection of Victorian and South American wines. The space can accommodate 90 seated, with an added alfresco space to enjoy the sunshine as the weather warms. 

The White Horse 

Surry Hills, Sydney

There’s nothing quite like a classic reimagined. One of Surry Hill’s landmark pubs, The White Horse may still have the same white exterior and iconic rooftop stallion, but inside you’ll find a completely new experience. Each space feels refined and stylish; the restaurant boasts a selection of vibrant artworks, with the Public Bar and Terrace fringed by greenery and the private Blue Room complete with its own bar. The whole venue can be hired exclusively, providing a wealth of options for your next event. With a menu focusing on ethically-sourced produce and an impressive selection of wines, there’s plenty to love at this reimagined icon. 

Naldham House 

Brisbane City, Brisbane

Housed within the heritage-listed former Brisbane Polo Club, the long-awaited Naldham House is finally open. Breathing new life into an 140 year old landmark, Naldham House perfects the balance between modern style and heritage charm. The ground level is home to a European-inspired brasserie, filled with rich colour and vibrant artwork and complete with a terrace boasting riverside views. Upstairs, you’ll find the velvet-clad Club Felix, boasting one of Brisbane’s largest champagne lists. With Level 2 yet to open, there’s plenty of excitement still surrounding DAP & CO’s newest delight. 

Santana Rooftop 

CBD, Melbourne 

Capacity: 75 Exclusive Hire

Follow the neon-red sign to this sultry Latin-inspired rooftop. Here you can trade the bustle of Bourke and Russell Street below to some pretty epic city skyline views. In classic Melbourne style the rooftop is fully weatherproof, ensuring your celebrations continue no matter what the weather throws at you. At night the space feels intimate and chic, lit by a distinct red-glow thanks to the glowing table candles. Treat yourself to a delicious curation of South American wine and cocktails, alongside an equally delicious Latin menu. Perfect for your EOY celebrations, you can hire out the entire rooftop for up to 75 cocktail.
